Economic Empowerment

Since its establishment to this day, the YWCA strives to offer opportunities for disadvantaged women, who are mainly heads of households, to learn new skills that will help them generate income or find employment in the job market and be able to provide for their families.

The Young Women‘s Christian Association of Palestine has been providing work opportunities for women from low income families for many years in the form of small scale manufacturing of various types of products.

The YWCA strives to empower women by providing them with skills and training.

The YWCA also empowers women with job opportunities within the YWCA‘s branches and centers.

The YWCA Economic Empowerment Projects include:

The Food Producing and Catering Service - Jerusalem

Traditional Embroidery (dolls and puppets) - Ramallah/Jalazon

The Food Production Project - Jericho
